Report to the United Nations Human Rights Committee
Near East Policy Research (NEPR)
March 2011
This report outlines some of the more recent examples of the violations of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) by the Iranian regime. These cases and other human rights abuses in Iran have exposed the Iranian regime’s repressive and violent ideology, and the continuing international condemnation of these regime policies is indicative of the fact that such violations result from the fundamental nature, laws and practices of the regime. The 2011 report of the U.N. Human Rights Committee on the record of Iran can help to draw attention to this dreadful history of human rights abuse.
